At nearly 7,500 feet above sea level, the Blue Mountains are one of the highest coffee regions in the world. The constant mist covering gives the mountains a bluish tint, hence the name, Blue Mountain.
Blue Mountain coffee has a very clean taste, with a noticeable sweetness. The flavor is bold, smooth and rich. Due to its restricted geographical range where it is grown, Blue Mountain coffee is available in limited quantities and is one of the most expensive coffees in the world.
The City of Refuge in Content Gap is blessed with fourten acres of this world reknown coffee. We grow Blue Mountain coffee onsite and hire local help to harvest the berries. We are registered with the Coffee Industry Board of Jamaica as roasters and dealers of Blue Mountain Coffee. Our coffee is certified as "Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee".
